NSR Oil Pump Setting:

Slowly turn the throttle grip assembly until the pulley on the carburettor just starts to move. Ensure the stop on the oil pump control pulley just touches the stop on the pump body. Check the oil pump actuator cable is tight, with no free play.

Turn the throttle grip assembly and check the throttle pully and oil pump control pulley move synchronously. To adjust the cable, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster nut, then tighten the lock nut.

 


 

MC16 and MC18 Oil Pump Setting:

Slowly turn the throttle grip assembly until the pulley on the carburettor just starts to move. Ensure the stop on the oil pump control pulley just touches the stop on the pump body. Check the oil pump actuator cable is tight, with no free play.

Turn the throttle grip assembly and check the throttle pully and oil pump control pulley move synchronously. To adjust the cable, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster nut, then tighten the lock nut.

MC21 and MC28 Oil Pump Setting:

There are index marks on the oil pump pulley, oil pump body, and both carburettor slides, that should all align at 50% throttle.

Slowly turn the throttle grip assembly until the index mark on the #1 carburettor aligns with the roof of the inlet venturi, indicating 50% open throttle.

Ensure the oil pump and pump body index marks align when the throttle is set to 50% open. To adjust the cable, loosen the lock nut and turn the adjuster nut, then tighten the lock nut.
